Welcome to the official website of the United States Savate Federation! Founded in 1994, USSF is the the official governing body for Savate in the U.S.A. and the elected US representative to the International Savate Federation (F.I.S.). Our mission is to build a strong community of Savate athletes, coaches, and enthusiasts who are committed to empowering athletes, cultivating sportsmanship and elevating the sport of Savate in the United States. We are a non-profit, educational organization behind the movement to help Savate become an official Olympic sport!

Bringing Savate to the USA

While Savate has thrived for decades in France and across Europe, it remains a hidden gem in the United States. USSF President JoAnn Wabisca and the US Savate Federation are on a mission to change that by expanding opportunities for training, competition, and education all across the country. The organization is committed to:

  • Hosting events and tournaments to showcase the beauty and intensity of Savate.

  • Supporting new and existing clubs to help more athletes and enthusiasts train in the sport.

  • Educating and certifying coaches to ensure high-level instruction.

  • Building a passionate community of fighters, fans, and future champions!
